Sundays in Corrales

Come for the Markets, Stay for the Day

Things to Do in Corrales, New Mexico

Sundays are a great day to visit scenic Corrales, New Mexico.  In addition to the Corrales Makers Market and Corrales Growers’ Market, Sunday morning from 9am-noon at the Corrales Recreation Center, check out the following:

Recreation

Open Swim at the Corrales Recreation Center

The Corrales pool, at the Corrales Recreation Center, is open every day, including Sunday, for open swim from 12:30pm-5:30pm.  It has an awesome new play structure and a wide beach entrance for the little ones.  Our bosque trails are excellent for walking, biking or you can organize a trail ride with the great horses and people of Red Horse Riding Company.

Shops and Galleries

Perennial Delights offers locally grown plants and container gardens acclimated for our desert climate.   They are located just south of the market on Corrales Road and open Sundays from 10am – 5pm.

Shopping at Perennial Delights

The Corrales Bosque Gallery has been voted the 3rd best gallery in the Abq Journal’s Reader’s Choice Awards.  It is open every day, including Sunday, from 10am – 5pm.  The Corrales Bosque Gallery is located in the Mercado de Maya along Corrales Rd, home to some other interesting shops and businesses.  Down by the Bistro and Las Ristras (see Restaurants, below), visit the Hanselmann Pottery studio until 8pm.  Better yet – call ahead and arrange a studio tour of their small batch stoneware operation.   Secondhand Treasures, on Corrales Rd south of the market, is a thrift store operated by Southwest Animal Rescue, is open from 10am-4pm on Sundays and offers another unique shopping experience – for a good cause!
